Sabarot enlarges its central warehouse
Sabarot has modernised the facilities at its Chaspuzac site in France. The new automatic warehouse has a capacity of almost 6,400 pallets and is built with racks up to 21.5 m high. A stacker crane circulates in each of the two 92 m long aisles and autonomously stores, unloads and transports the pallets.
Another special feature of the warehouse is its design to operate both at freezing temperature (-5°C) and at room temperature. The Sabarot centre also has a freezing chamber at a controlled temperature of -25°C.
Throughout the construction phase, space was provided for a future extension divided into two phases, with which the current performance and storage capacity could be tripled, to reach 20,000 pallets. (sh)
