Russian shunting locomotive delivered
The Lyudinovo Diesel Locomotive Plant (part of Sinara Group) recently produced and dispatched a TEM9 shunting diesel locomotive to the Priargunsky Industrial Mining and Chemical Association (part of the Russian Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom).
The four-axle shunter with electric transmission is driven by a 1,200 hp diesel engine. The locomotive is very popular in the industrial railway logistics segment, since it is able to negotiate turns with a minimum radius of 50 m.
TEM9 Diesel Locomotives operate in 60 Russian regions at various industrial sites as well as at railway junctions and freight stations of Russian Railways. (ben)
