Röhlig's Thai trajectory

Röhlig is opening a 16,000 sqm hub at Thailand’s Laem Chabang Port, thus unlocking logistics capacities close to the country’s manufacturing zones and shipping routes.

As part of its collaboration with an electrical goods manufacturer, the logistics provider has developed a site comprising warehousing space with 8,000 pallet positions, 9 m high ceilings, 14 loading docks, ramp access, and two office spaces at 100 sqm each.

From this location in a free trade zone close to the central Thai port, Röhlig can link up with local industries using transport routes by road and sea. From here, it aims to manage its client’s operations comprehensively using a WMS with AI-based software to help it handle up to 71,000 order lines per year. This new facility follows the inauguration of Röhlig’s hub in Kuala Lumpur two years ago, which is currently its largest base in Southeast Asia. (mk)
