Roadrunner changes hands
Prospero Staff Capital is set to take over the majority ownership of Roadrunner Freight, with the previous majority shareholder, Elliott Investment Management, retaining a minority stake. Prospero, which is co-led by Ted Kellner and Chris Jamroz, is the founder of a management company that has been a long-term investor in Roadrunner.
After undergoing an overhaul of its logistics operations in the past few years under Chris Jamroz’s leadership, Roadrunner is now headquartered in Chicago and has gained recognition for its collaboration with multiple shippers. It was named a Top 100 Trucking Company by the magazine and website Inbound Logistics in 2023 and 2024.
"From its roots in my home state of Wisconsin, Roadrunner has grown into the largest direct metro-to-metro LTL carrier,” says Kellner, as Prospero looks to support Roadrunner’s growth momentum moving forward. (mk)
