Rieck acquires holding firm in Hong Kong
With retroactive effect from 1 January 2023, the Rieck Logistics Group is acquiring 45% of the shares in Tandem Holding (HK), creating the new company Tandem Rieck Shanghai Co., which has nine further branches in China in addition to the headquarters in Shanghai.
Logistics companies offering air and sea freight services will cooperate under the Tandem brand. In the new corporate structure, the Rieck Logistics Group and the C.H. Powell Company now each hold 45% of the shares, while the Japanese Azuma Shipping has a 10% stake.
"With this move, we have virtually doubled our volume and turnover," says Philipp Strenge. "We are continuing to strengthen our position in the Indo-Pacific region." (mk)
