Rhenus starts new business in China
Rhenus Group has set up its first office in Changsha, Hunan Province in China. It will offer a wide range of logistics services to enable local businesses to expand their overseas outreach.
The new office will offer solutions all along the supply chain, including air and ocean freight, rail, import and export services. With this addition, Rhenus currently runs 19 offices across China.
Central China’s Hunan province has seen its foreign trade volume exceed CNY 539 billion (EUR 76.3 billion) in the first eleven months of 2021, up 26.5% year-on-year and exceeding 2020’s total volume. Last year, exports rose by 32.5% compared with 2020, with mechanical and electrical products among its major exports. (ben)
