Rhenus grows footprint in Iberia
Venturing further into the Iberian market, Rhenus Home Helivery has acquired more shares in the Totalmédia Group, giving it a majority stake of 75.1%. Based in Lisbon, Totalmédia Group delivers heavy and bulky goods and provides transport, packaging, and warehousing services in the Iberian Peninsula.
With Rhenus’s previous participation, Totalmédia was able to raise the total number of consignments delivered in Europe to 7 million in 2023.
Combining the group’s regional network and portfolio with Rhenus’s last-mile expertise will enable it to reach almost 60 million potential customers in Spain and Portugal. Rhenus Home Delivery is planning to further increase its stake in the Portuguese Group in 2026. (mk)
