Rhenus acquires the Spanish logistics specialist LTK
The Rhenus Group has taken over the Spanish company LTK. Founded in 2002, the integrated supply chain specialist is headquartered in Madrid and has warehouse capacity at three other business sites in Spain: Álava in the Basque region and Seville and Cádiz in Andalusia. Overall, LTK has more than 26,000 sqm of warehouse capacity at its disposal.
The company's main business activities involve providing logistics solutions for the aerospace and automotive sectors. Its customers include the Airbus Group and Alestis Aerospace. In addition to warehousing, LTK handles supply chain management, procurement, returns and replacement part logistics, conducting quality checks as well as industrial handling and aircraft ground handling.
The logistics specialist performs more than 110,000 technical checks for its customers every year, for example. LTK's warehouses in Cádiz and Seville have been supplying the production sites of Airbus since 2004. The logistics warehouses there handle more than 1 million incoming and outgoing movements of goods per annum. (mw)
