Revenue over USD 5 billion for YRC Worldwide
The Kansas (USA)-based logistics provider YRC Worldwide reported consolidated operating revenue of USD 5.092 billion for full-year 2018, while consolidated operating income amounted to USD 147.2 million, which included a USD 20.8 million net gain on property disposals.
These figures are up from a full-year 2017 consolidated operating revenue of USD 4.891 billion and a consolidated operating income of USD 119 million with a USD 0.6 million net gain on property disposals.
“Our results in Q4 and throughout 2018 demonstrate that we successfully implemented our plans for yield achievement, capital investment of our revenue equipment and reduction of short-term rental costs and expensive locally purchased transportation,” stated Darren Hawkins, CEO of YRC Worldwide.
