Returning to Eimskip
Jónína Guðný Magnúsdóttir has been appointed executive vice president domestic operations in Iceland, which includes overseeing land transport, a distribution centre, a warehouse and a cold store, facility management and the subsidiary Sæferðir. Around 400 employees work in the division at 18 locations around Iceland.
Magnúsdóttir knows Eimskip well: from 2014 – 2019, she worked in the company’s domestic business and as a manager in its container management unit.
Later, Magnúsdóttir moved to Terra Environmental Services as managing director of the sales and service division. Her most recent position was managing director of quality and sustainability at Hekla Cars in Iceland. She joins Eimskip in the beginning of February. (cj)
