Replacing 6 million sheets of paper
LKW Walter is introducing the digital consignment note eCMR for all its transports in Europe. The new solution will increase efficiency and replace around 1.5 million paper documents (around 6 million sheets of paper), the Austrian transport company said.
LKW Walter deploys around 15,000 trailers supplied by its partner, the German manufacturer Krone, in combined transport, handling more than 1.5 million transports per year.
Previously, a physical consignment note containing information about the sender, recipient and goods was required for each individual shipment. The freight document will now be processed online, with each eCMR being digitally linked to the respective Walter Trailer truck. (ben)
