Regional warehouse added to logistics network
Industrial and logistics real estate specialist Panattoni has handed over the new logistics park Freiburg South, Germany, to Hornbach. The new facility provides the DIY company with around 13,900 sqm of space as well as parking spaces for cars and trucks. Hornbach will use it as a fulfilment and regional warehouse, expanding its existing logistics network.
Panattoni developed the property on an approximately 23,800 sqm plot of land belonging to a former hazardous materials warehouse in the industrial estate of Neuenburg am Rhein.
The location is well developed and lies directly on the French border, in the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland. Various sustainability measures - such as the laying of a WGK (water hazard classification) III foil, the installation of photovoltaics and heat pump technology – made the property eligible for a DGNB Gold Standard certification.
