Reducing tyre-related breakdowns
Over the last two years, TIP Trailer Services Nordic has been testing Ultra-Seal on a representative number of assets to explore the options to reduce the number of tyre-related breakdowns and the costs.
The overall test results show a significant reduction in tyre-related breakdowns. The assets have now covered nearly 2.7 million km. Overall it’s expected that in the long term, Ultra-Seal will reduce the number of tyre-related breakdowns by around 60%.
TIP Trailer plans now to further implement the use of Ultra-Seal within the Nordic region this year and next. The company has more than 70,000 trailers across Europe and more than 14,000 external trailers on service contracts. (ben)
