Recovering from Covid-19

Brussels airport is welcoming back All Nippon Airways today, 13 October 2020, as ANA has resumed flights between Tokyo NRT and BRU. The route will be operated three times a week with Boeing B787 passenger aircraft that will be used for cargo only, thus providing a 35-t belly cargo capacity. The Japanese carrier has been flying to the Belgian capital since 2015, temporarily suspending its service due to Covid-19 restrictions.

In other news, Brucargo, the cargo division of the airport, has created a Brucure task force’ to take the lead in the transport of the first Covid-19 vaccines. Nathan De Valck, Brucargo’s head of cargo product and network development, said that his firm "will offer complete transparency to all shippers and operators in the supply chain, so that the location and quality of the shipment can be easily tracked."
