RCG secures 19 million t logistics package
The Austrian carrier has signed a logistics agreement with Voestalpine and Logserv for the inbound transport of raw materials and the outbound transport of finished goods.
The agreement, valid until 2025, includes the transport order for around EUR 9.5 million t of freight and extends the existing contract for another two years.
The cooperation covers the handling of incoming raw materials (iron ore, hot briquetted iron, coke, coal, scrap) for Voestalpine’s Austrian plants in Linz and Leoben-Donawitz, as well as the shipment of finished goods (coils, heavy plate, sheets) from Linz. The transport of ore and coke will be handled with RCC Italia via Italian Mediterranean ports. (ben)
