RCG: new train to link Budapest with Rijeka
Quick connections to the northern Adriatic: ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) is expanding its Transnet with a new transport solution between Hungary and the northern Adriatic. The port of Rijeka (Croatia) is an important transhipment hub for Southern, Central and South-Eastern Europe.
The new service provides a direct network connection without a stopover for maritime goods flows between Budapest and Rijeka, in addition to several block train solutions for customers.
The train is particularly suitable for the transport of 20- and 40-foot containers. It operates two round trips between the Bilk terminal in Budapest and the terminal in the port of Rijeka per week. (ben)
