RCG CEO joins VNL advisory board
The association Verein Netzwerk Logistik (VNL) has appointed Clemens Först, CEO of ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG), to its advisory board. Först, who holds a doctorate in physics, began his career in the consulting sector and has been active in the railfreight sector in various management functions for over ten years.
Since 2017, he has headed the board team of RCG - the ÖBB freight transport subsidiary generated a turnover of around EUR 2 billion in 2021.
Franz Staberhofer, VNL chairman: "I am very pleased that we have been able to win Först, an excellent railway specialist, for our advisory board. As member of the advisory board, he will also play a major role in shaping our strategy to reduce CO2 emissions.
