Quay walls for HES Hartel tank terminal in place
The quay walls, the jetty and associated works for the HES Hartel tank terminal on Maasvlakte that is currently under construction in the port of Rotterdam have been completed. Despite the discovery of various archeologically interesting shipwrecks, the work could be completed in time.
The over EUR 100 million project comprises the construction of a 1,200 m long deep-sea quay wall and the connection of the new quay to the existing quay, a quay wall of over a length of 1,000 m for five inland vessels, complete with shore power, and a 350 m jetty with four berths. The HES Hartel tank terminal is expected to be operational by November 2021. (ben)
