QSL expands in North America
The Quebec-headquartered terminal operator QSL has acquired Empire Stevedoring. Based in Montreal, Empire specialises in port terminal operation, stevedoring, marine services and transport.
The takeover will increase QSL's geographic footprint in the Canadian and the US market. The price of the transaction, which is still subject to regulatory approvals, was not disclosed.
"This step will allow QSL to become the only port terminal operator and stevedore to have such a significant presence in both Port of Quebec and Port of Montreal,” said QSL’s president and CEO Robert Bellisle. (cd)
