Providing IT support from Porto
Dachser has opened its newest IT hub in Porto, adding to its corporate IT network in Europe, Hong Kong and the USA. The local team is starting out small but is set to grow, with a move into a bigger facility planned for Q2/2025.
By the end of 2026, IT support in Portugal is expected to total 100 positions, focusing on digitalisation and the growth of Dachser’s logistics operations.
Dachser has been active in Portugal for 25 years, amassing 200 employees at six hubs. It has chosen Porto as a location for this hub particularly because of its technology-oriented environment, IT expertise and proximity to universities. This will be the company’s second largest IT base, enhancing Dachser’s existing support comprising 750 specialists worldwide. (mk)
