Proponent partners with Sine Draco
Proponent, a Californian aerospace parts distribution business, has been selected by Sine Draco Aviation Technology to serve as a Tier 1 supplier of machined parts and other conversion hardware for Sine Draco's A321 freighter conversion programme.
Under the deal, the team of Sine Draco, a multinational corporation with headquarters in Nanchang, China, with a subsidiary in Bellevue, WA, will leverage Proponent's expertise in logistics, purchasing and global delivery.
The partnership aims to streamline the A321-200 SDF conversion process, the first one being scheduled to begin in mid-2021, with FAA approval anticipated in late 2021 or early 2022.
The platform offers 30% more cargo volume (28 t) than the B737-800 freighter and is designed to meet the needs of regional and express delivery operators. (ah)
