Prelude to new healthcare terminal in Narita
Close to Narita International Airport in Japan, Yusen Logistics is opening a new warehouse in the Narita Logistics Centre in Shibayama-machi, Sambu-gun, Chiba on 1 September 2022. As a next step, in April 2023, operations will be launched at the Narita healthcare terminal inside the facility.
Besides the various temperature zones and emergency power supplies already in place, Yusen is applying for a number of certificates: AEO and a Class-A, the highest security standard certified by Tapa for the safe management of customers' cargo.
The future Narita healthcare terminal will comply with GDP standards. Ceiv Pharma certification will be the next target. Yusen Logistics will then be running pharmaceutical logistics operations via 48 operation bases in 27 countries and regions around the world. (sh)
