Powering a new logistics solution
Qatar Airways Cargo has introduced a specialised logistics product tailored to the aviation, defence and space sectors and called it ‘Aerospace’.
Designed for time-critical shipments, it ensures rapid, secure and supervised transport of essential components, including aircraft engines, avionics and landing gear. The carrier says it is the only air cargo operator to offer shock-absorbing engine transport dollies at its Doha hub, capable of handling up to 20 t, including Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 and GEnx-2B engines.
‘Aerospace’ provides top loading priority, dedicated handling teams and ‘control-tower’ support in Qatar Airways Cargo’s network, with tail-to-tail transfers in just four hours. With a fleet of 28 Boeing B777 freighters and a global network spanning 60 freighter destinations, the airline aims to be the leading logistics partner for aerospace transport needs. (ah)
