DB Cargo is consistently setting its signals to green. With a symbolic container campaign in major German cities and on motorways, the German railfreight company presented its new climate goals to the general public on Earth Day, yesterday, 22 April.
DB Cargo wants to become climate neutral by 2050. Already today, e-locomotives provide 95% of the railfreight company’s traction power. On demand, the necessary fuel can be supplied as 100% green electricity.
Furthermore, DB Cargo can offer climate-neutral goods deliveries on the last mile to the customer – and compensate specifically with climate certificates, the company said. (ben)
