
Ports of Indiana appoints Parrott as COO
Ports of Indiana has named David Parrott as its new chief operating officer.
Parrott is a maritime industry veteran with 30 years of experience who’s held leadership roles at Liberty Terminals, Metro Ports, Schneider Logistics and Wallenius Wilhelmsen. He last served as vice-president of operations at Metro Ports, where he managed a series of facilities in the USA and launched the firm’s first Great Lakes operation.
As COO Parrott will oversee operations at Indiana’s three ports, focusing on cargo growth, property development and new container operations. Parrott expressed his enthusiasm at joining ports of Indiana, citing opportunities for growth along the Ohio River and Lake Michigan. A Chicago native, he holds a degree in transport and logistics from Iowa State University. (ah)
