Port of Helsinki picks Vesa Marttinen
Vesa Marttinen has been appointed VP of the cargo traffic business at Port of Helsinki, succeeding Jukka Kallio. Marttinen has served in various executive positions in the seafaring and maritime sector. He has also headed and conducted demanding products in the shipping industry involving circular economy, environmental protection and digitalisation development issues.
Marttinen will assume his new responsibilities in June 2023. "Marttinen’s strengths in customer-centric business management, cooperation with interest groups and development project follow-through provide an excellent basis for the development of our cargo business and we are excited to have him on board,” says Ville Haapasaari, Port of Helsinki's CEO.
