Port authorities meet in San Juan
Representatives of the Jacksonville Port Authority (Jaxport) and the Puerto Rico Ports Authority (PRPA) have held the inaugural ‘Puerto Rico - Jacksonville ports and partners summit’ in San Juan, Puerto Rico, following the mou signed in 2021.
The gathering explored best practices in port operations, infrastructure upgrades, business continuity during hurricane season, and sustainability. Participants included the three Jacksonville based ocean carriers Crowley, Tote Maritime Puerto Rico, and Trailer Bridge, along with the Puerto Rico Manufacturers Association and the Puerto Rico Shipping Association.
The summit also comprised tours of PRPA facilities and discussions to advance mou strategies in business development, marketing, environmental protection, and security. (pb)
