Polish carrier begins liquid fuel transports
Ciech Cargo has organised the first transport of liquid fuels, commissioned by Olavion – a rail transportation company currently under acquisition by the Unimot Group. The load of diesel oil was transported in Poland from Gdynia to Zawadówka and Stawian.
Operations of this kind are part of the diversification of the carrier's order portfolio in connection with, among others, the expected decline in coal transport.
Ciech Cargo employs 260 people and provides domestic railway services with 18 locomotives and 1,550 freight cars. Its portfolio comprises transport services in Poland such as railcar rental, railfreight transport, operation and maintenance of sidings, as well as railcar repair. (ben)
