Pharma logistics network augments services
From July onwards, GDP Network Solutions in Germany is planning to offer, in addition to its pallet shipping services, temperature-controlled individual parcel shipping for medical and high-value products and the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
The parcel transport will be handled by a logistics company from the GDP network. The finely meshed distribution of the parcels will be carried out strictly in accordance with the European Commission's guidelines for good distribution practice for medicinal products of 5 November 2013.
Modern vehicles equipped with the latest telematics will be deployed. The handling areas will be temperature-controlled and monitored. Transparent processes will be ensured by GPS monitoring in real time and a validated alarm system in case of temperature deviations. (ben)
