Partnership for intermodal services in USA
Transport company Schneider has chosen Union Pacific Railroad (UP) as its the primary intermodal rail transports provider in the western United States, effective January 2023. The partnership creates a seamless service including the critical “first and last miles” of the supply chain, the US class I railway said.
Schneider has one of the largest intermodal fleets in North America with over 25,000 containers and plans to double the company's intermodal size by 2030. Its intermodal network services more than 45 ramps in North America.
Moving freight by rail helps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 75% and helps UP customers to cut their environmental footprint. (ben)
