Partners to fly parcels from Asia to South America
Cainiao Smart Logistics Network, the logistics arm of Alibaba Group Holding, is launching a charter programme with Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings to enhance the logistics network of the e-commerce giant between China and South America.
Cainiao’s parcel volume on this route reached over eight million packages in Q3/2020, double the number transported during the quarter before. Beginning in November, Atlas Air will operate three weekly dedicated charter flights linking China with Brazil and Chile, reducing the overall shipping time from a week to three days on average.
