Panattoni completes logistics facility in Aylesford

Panattoni recently completed a 621,000 sqft built-to-suit facility in its ‘Panattoni Park Aylesford’, now occupied by Tesco. Designed in collaboration with the retailer, the site includes a 300,000 sqft chilled section, a 100,000 sqft freezer area and charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.

The facility enhances Tesco’s logistics and operational capacities, integrating technologies to improve supply chain efficiency. It has achieved Breeam’s ‘excellent’ certificate and EPC’s ‘A’ rating.

The project aims to “deliver operational capabilities for Tesco, creating jobs and generating benefits for Kent,” according to Tony Watkins, Panattoni’s head of development for southeastern England and London. Stuart Moffat, Tesco’s head of development for distribution, highlights the facility’s key role for the company’s distribution and sustainability goals. (js)
