Ownership change for US short line freight railroad
United Rail has acquired the New England Southern Railroad (NES), located in Concord NH (USA). NES, a short line railroad operator, provides rail transport services including transloading, private industrial rail car switching and rail car storage. NES leases and operates approximately 35 km of rail lines in the Concord area.
United Rail is now awaiting final operating authority from New Hampshire before beginning services. United Rail is in the business of acquiring short line railroads in the freight operations sector and plans to develop rail infrastructure projects and terminal operations. (ben)
