Over 1.5 million refrigeration units sold
Transicold has achieved another industry milestone by surpassing 1.5 million container refrigeration units sold. The company introduced the industry’s first ‘picture-frame’ front wall container refrigeration unit in 1968 and has continued to innovate ever since.
Transcold launched the Primeline unit in 2008. This model was the first container refrigeration system to use the natural refrigerant carbon dioxide resulting in an ultra-low global warming potential of 1. To date, more than 2.5 million t of CO2 emissions have been avoided with Transicold units. This is equivalent to removing more than 545,000 gasoline-powered passenger vehicles from the road. (ben)
