Ore enrichment plant travels more than 5,000 km
RZD Logistics (RZDL) recently successfully handled a special transport for a mining plant in Eastern Siberia (Russia), delivering an ore enrichment plant with a diameter of over 4 m.
The cargo was transported by road from the production site in the Moscow region to Shakhovskaya railway station with the help of a trawl. From here the equipment was shipped by rail over a distance of more 5,000 km to Novaya Chara (Zabaykalsky Krai).
RZDL was responsible for receiving and loading the oversized equipment at the production site, first and last mile delivery, reloading and rail transport. (ben)
