Operail Repairs certified
The Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority has decided to issue an extended ECM (entity in charge of maintenance) certificate to Operail Repairs. The Estonian rail company is now a certified European maintenance and repair company for wagons as well as locomotives.
ECM is a European Union certificate which confirms that Operail has the competence and right to carry out maintenance and repairs of rolling stock registered in Europe. It will open up the European market for its business in addition to the 1,520 mm market, Operail said.
Operail Repairs operates at the Tapa depot, with minor maintenance works also carried out at the Muuga depot. (ben)
