Opening in Memphis
Arvato Supply Chain Solutions has opened a new location in Memphis, Tennessee, whose main focus will be on the healthcare industry. The distribution centre covers a surface of approximately 33,000 sqm.
The new client at the site is a major player among medical technology companies, though the name was not disclosed. It is a centralisation project similar to the range of services the logistics company implemented for the same client in Europe.
Arvato will handle all the client's logistics and distribution processes in USA. The new distribution centre is close to the Fedex World hub and Memphis International Airport. Other players like Kuehne + Nagel and DHL have also invested in warehouse locations in Memphis in recent years. (sh)
