One Jürgen goes, another comes
German automobile manufacturer BMW Group has elected Jürgen Eder as the new head of its logistics division. He replaces Jürgen Maidl (Photo), who, after nine years as head of BMW's logistics operations, will focus on organisational issues on group level in future.
Eder has been working for BMW for almost 25 years. For the last three years, he was responsible for strategy, projects and central functions in the purchasing department.
Before that, he worked for BMW in locations outside Germany for eight years – first as manager of the plant in Chennai in India, before taking over the same role in Shenyang in China. (amh)
