One elephant and many flowers transit Florida

With Mother’s Day celebrations taking place around the globe, Atlas Air saw flower volumes bloom. This year, the US cargo carrier shipped 8,000 t of fresh roses and a variety of other blooms from Colombia and Ecuador to Miami.

Furthermore, in the north of Florida, Atlas Air contributed to bringing a female elephant called Mundi, a rhino, a hippo, a donkey, and an impala from a zoo in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, to Jacksonville.

Born in 1982 in Zimbabwe, Mundi is headed to the Elephant Refuge North America in Attapulgus, Georgia, while the other animals made their way to several sanctuaries in Texas. (ah)
