ODW for food logistics

In Romeoville IL (USA) the 3PL ODW Logistics has acquired a 59,000 sqm distribution centre. The facility has temperature-controlled capacities for frozen foods and other cold-chain products. It was acquired from Arytza North America, as a part of the sale of its take-and-bake pizza business to Brynwood Partners.

ODW will provide supply chain services to the Great Kitchens Food Company, a new addition to Brynwood’s portfolio and a major player in private label take-and-bake pizzas. The firm’s pizzas and flatbreads are sold to groceries and mass retailers, as well as food service outlets in the entire USA. ODW has signed a long-term lease to operate the manufacturer’s distribution facility. (sh)
