North American purchase of rolling reefers
TFI International, which operates in the USA, Canada and Mexico, has acquired the trucking company D&D Sexton, based in Carthage MO (USA). D&D’s fleet of more than 120 tractors and 150 drivers specialising in refrigerated freight, will be integrated into the temperature-controlled trucking business of the Canadian firm’s US carrier CFI. The price of the transaction was not disclosed.
The deal follows a recent reorganisation of CFI, integrating a number of sub-brands. D&D is a minor acquisition for the Montreal-based company, which took over UPS Freight earlier in 2021. (sh)
