Nikola Corporation picks COO
Nikola Corporation, which specialises in solutions for zero-emissions transportation, energy supply infrastructures, via the Hyla brand, has appointed transportation executive Thomas Schmitt as its chief commercial officer (CCO).
In his new role, Schmitt will align Nikola’s commercial efforts to scale its business and oversee sales, commercial operations, dealerships, service, customer success, and marketing. He brings decades of transportation leadership, having served as CEO of Forward Air, CCO of Schenker, CEO of Purolator and FedEx Supply Chain and is a longtime board member for various well-known entities. Nikola’s headquarters are based in Phoenix, AZ with a manufacturing facility in Coolidge in the same state. (cj)
