NG.Network combats residual storage
The category "residuals" includes those consignments that partner companies within the network receive in their storage halls following their own orders or those of other partners and subsequently prepare for delivery.
Above a certain volume of residuals, the consignments can no longer be adequately processed, which results in quantity restrictions. Via the new function "residue management", the network headquarters of the general cargo cooperation NG.Network can better assess the storage situation and take action on the same day if bottlenecks are imminent.
The residuals dashboard provides an overview of the stock at network level, per forwarding company and information at consignment level. Thanks to a traffic light system, the head office team always has a quick and precise overview of all residual stock volumes in all partner companies. This avoids quantity restrictions and maintains efficiency. (mk)
