Newly leased wagons to transport LPG
Orlen Unipetrol Doprava has leased 81 brand new LPG Safety ++ tank cars from wagon owner Ermewa. The last tranche of the delivery recently arrived at the Czech petrochemical company in Litvinov and is now in use for LPG transport in eastern Europe.
The new LPG Safety++, jointly designed by Ermewa and the Polish wagon manufacturer Chemet, brings a wide range of the most advanced safety features and a forward-looking technical design to the track.
Highlights include the lightweight bogie with integrated compact brake with ready-made interfaces for telematics sensors for brake monitoring. The reduced tare weight of the 117 cbm wagon increases payload capacity and improves economy in daily use. (ben)
