New wagons lead to new transport contract
Green Cargo has secured a new order. The Swedish carrier’s investment in an efficient timber wagon has paid off in a new agreement with Holmen Skog. The wagon, “Golden Bullet 2.0” has a load area of 10.82 sqm and is the result of a joint development with Exte in Ljusdal (Sweden). The timber company will be the first customer to use the wagon for roundwood transports in Sweden.
The new wagon type has an increased payload thanks to its large load limit, since there is room for more timber per metre. In combination with a lower axle load, due to more axles per wagon metre, there is less pressure on the Swedish transport administration’s facilities. (ben)
