New vehicles to distribute food and drinks
A. F. Blakemore & Son in UK has added ten new Volvo FE rigids to its fleet. The forwarder will deploy the new vehicles on local and long distance, multi drop distribution of food and drink products. The ten Volvo FEs are a mixture of 4x2 and 6x2 rigid configurations.
The 18-t vehicles use Volvo’s D8K engine rated at 280hp, whilst the larger 26-t trucks benefit from the same engine size, with an increased 320hp output. The family-owned company currently employs 7,800 people across eight separate divisions and has a turnover of GBP 1.2 billion (EUR 1.39 billion). (ben)
