New technical director for port of Turku

Markku Alahäme is starting as the port of Turku’s new technical director at an interesting time. He will find a large project concerning a joint passenger terminal for shipping companies on his desk.

Alahäme has the pre-requisites needed for the large project, having worked for the port since 1995. Before taking over as technical director he was the hub’s development manager, with duties including quality maintenance, environmental and safety systems, developing operations and environmental issues. He has also contributed to developing the port’s operations and services.
