New responsibilities for Niklas Wilmking
DB Schenker has appointed Niklas Wilmking to the management board for contract logistics and supply chain management, effective 1 January 2024.
Wilmking has held various executive positions at DB Schenker since 2002, most recently as CEO Asia/Pacific. Alongside various positions in Germany and Asia/Pacific, his previous responsibilities at Schenker include global head of air freight, managing director of DB Schenker Vietnam and vice president strategic business development of DB Schenker Asia/Pacific.
Wilmking takes over from Hessel Verhage, who has decided to leave DB Schenker for personal reasons and move back to his family in the USA, where he will shortly be taking on a new role outside the logistics sector. (cj)
