New regional CEO for Asia Pacific
The Dubai based air services provider Dnata has appointed Dirk Goovaerts as its regional CEO for the Asia Pacific region. In that role, Goovaerts will oversee the company's catering, ground and cargo handling operations at ten airports in, inter alia, Australia, the Philippines and Singapore, and manage 6.000 employees.
Goovaerts will be based in Singapore and report to Ross Marino, senior vice-president for Dnata's international airport operations division.
Goovaerts joins the service provider from Saudi Ground Services Company (SGS), where he had been chief operations officer since 2016.
SVP Marino stated: ”We are pleased to have Goovaerts join our global management team to strengthen and expand our operations in the Asia Pacific region." (mw)
