New project for US short line railroad
The North Carolina Railroad Company (NCRR) is investing in the rehabilitation of rail infrastructure required for operations at a new beverage manufacturing campus to be constructed by Red Bull, Rauch and Ball Corporation.
NCRR will invest USD 700 to assist in the rehabilitation of the company-owned portion of the lead track that will connect to the North Carolina Railroad and be served by Class I freight provider Norfolk Southern.
The three-company joint venture will result in a capital investment of more than USD 900 million. NCRR owns and manages the 510 km rail corridor that stretches from Charlotte to the Port Terminal in Morehead City. (ben)
